Cora Harrison / The Montgomery Murder
Every halfpence is such a lot to Alfie and his Gang.
They need the money for food, to pay the rent. When
Inspector Denham offers them a staggering amount they
can't refuse. Alfie and the rest of his gang need to
find the killer.
Mr Montgomery, a wealthy man, has been killed in the
mean streets of Victorian London. Can they do it in
time before one of them gets hurt? They try many
tactics, they even have one of the gang inside the
victims house working as a knife cleaner. Could it be
the mean old butler? Or even Mr Montgomery's wife or
son?
Read this amazing book to found out the shocking
truth...
This is the first book in the the London murder
mysteries series. It is a fantastic book, creating a
vivid image in your head. I would recommend this book
for 11-14 year olds.
