This book is set in the sunny state Florida. After
following a boy with no shoes Roy finds himself in
trouble. A school bully, Beatrice, becomes one of his
best friends. Before he was an honest boy who never
got in trouble but thanks to an owls nest he ends up
lying to his parents, the police and most other
people.
There is a new pancake house being built and someone
is trying to stop it. The police are trying to find
the criminals and even try Guard dogs, but nothing
seems to work.
Will Roy get out of trouble?
Could these two plots fit together in the end?
